October 2016 Newsletter
November 1, 2016
Dear Friends,
The month of October has been a busy one. It’s the time of year for pumpkin spice, football, S’mores and bringing out the warmer clothes. As we packed up the summer clothes to make room for the fall/winter ones Hurricane Matthew was churning in the Atlantic headed for Haiti. When we realized how blessed we are with so many summer clothes, we decided that we would help out an orphanage in Haiti. We were able to make a connection locally with someone whose son runs an orphanage. They came and picked up our donation and were very happy. We have faith that God will provide, and we will have more summer clothes donated before the warmer months get here.
Classes are continuing as usual with a good number in attendance. For the next 8 weeks, we are offering parenting classes through Youth Services of Palm Beach County. This is a very informative and beneficial class for our parents. The Wednesday Bible study and Thursday Healthy Relationships classes are still ongoing.
We are looking for to collaborating with YM Unite again this year providing Thanksgiving baskets for our parents. This was a huge success last year and provided the families with everything needed to prepare a Thanksgiving meal. Also, we are planning to continue with our Ella’s Angels Christmas gifts and party. This was another successful event and the children really enjoyed the Christmas party as well as the visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus.
We don’t often mention Ella’s baby sister Raelynn Scott, but we wanted everyone to know that she is growing like a weed and doing great, and not to mention that she is absolutely adorable! I couldn’t help but include a picture of her in this month’s newsletter.
Don’t forget to follow us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter as well as our website at www.ellascloset.org.
All of us at Ella’s Closet want to wish your family a very Happy Thanksgiving!
There is no foot too small that it cannot leave an imprint on this world.
God Bless,
